StepOut named among top 20 in UAE–India startup series

From 10,000 applications to the global startup stage

A smarter way to train

Football, like all sports, is built on countless moments that can be measured, understood, and improved. Yet for years, player development across India and much of Asia was based more on instinct than insight. Coaches observed. Players relied on intuition. Decisions were often made with limited data.

StepOut is changing that.

Through AI-powered analytics, video insights, and performance tracking, we’ve built a platform that helps coaches and players uncover patterns, measure progress, and see growth in real time. From generating automated highlight reels to analyzing key metrics, StepOut equips every player with the tools to understand and elevate their game. It’s not just professionals that have access to such technology anymore. Today, we support coaches, academies, and athletes across India, helping them make decisions rooted in data and confidence and not guesswork.

India’s rise in sports innovation

The UAE–India Startup Series is more than a recognition event. It’s a platform that celebrates how both countries are shaping the next wave of global innovation. Being named among the Top 20 validates StepOut’s belief that sports technology from India can make an impact worldwide.

Sports tech is entering a new era. Artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making are transforming how players train, how coaches plan, and how talent is discovered. The next decade will see analytics become as essential to athlete growth as physical training itself. StepOut is proud to be part of that shift, as we continue to help make elite-level performance insights accessible to every athlete, everywhere.

Connecting ecosystems, building bridges

Our selection also highlights the growing partnership between two regions rapidly investing in innovation, entrepreneurship, and sport - India and the UAE.

The Top 20 startups will pitch at a special Pitch Event in New Delhi on November 25, 2025, in front of a panel of investors, industry leaders, and government representatives. Five winners will be chosen based on problem-solution fit, traction, market potential, and team strength.

For StepOut, this moment is an opportunity to share our vision on a global stage, connect with mentors and investors, and build collaborations that can further our mission.

The road ahead

Being recognized among the Top 20 is both an honor and a responsibility. It reminds us of what we’re building, and more importantly, who we’re building it for. Every update, feature, and integration we design is meant to make player development more data-informed, inclusive, and effective.

In the coming months, we’ll focus on expanding StepOut’s presence across Asia and the Middle East. That includes localized features for regional academies, partnerships with sports federations, and collaborations with educational institutions and accelerators that share our goal of making AI in sports part of everyday training.

What this means for StepOut

This recognition is not just about visibility. It’s about opportunity and to connect, collaborate, and contribute to a fast-evolving global innovation landscape. It reflects how Indian startups as a whole are stepping beyond borders and creating solutions that make a difference globally.

As we move forward, our goal remains clear: to make StepOut not just a platform, but a movement that empowers the next generation of athletes to train smarter, perform better, and dream bigger.

From India to the world and back

From being built in India to now standing on an international stage like the UAE–India Startup Series, the StepOut journey proves that sports innovation can come from anywhere, and reach everywhere.

We’re grateful for this recognition and excited for what lies ahead. The game has changed. And so has the way we play it.

StepOut vs Spiideo: Comparing Football Analysis and Performance Platforms

Spiideo and StepOut sit in this space from different starting points. Spiideo brings together automated camera systems, video analysis, live production and data through its wider sports video platform. StepOut works from match footage, using AI to structure what happens on the pitch into football intelligence that can support match analysis, player development, scouting and wider club workflows. For clubs and academies comparing the two, the useful question is less about which platform offers more features and more about how each one fits into the way the organisation captures, analyses and uses football data.

StepOut vs Stats Perform (Opta): Comparing Football Analytics Platforms

StepOut and Stats Perform, through its Opta ecosystem, operate across many of these requirements, but they come from different starting points. StepOut begins with match footage. Its AI-driven workflow turns uploaded video into structured player, team and match information, which can then be used across tactical analysis, player development, scouting and wider football workflows. Stats Perform builds around Opta, one of the industry's most established football data operations. Its current football offering combines event data, tracking, physical information, AI-enriched metrics, recruitment tools, software and APIs. Opta Vision adds continuous positional data for all 22 players, synchronised with event data, across more than 80 competitions.

StepOut vs Driblab: Comparing Football Analytics and Scouting Platforms

Football analytics platforms approach that question from different starting points. Some begin with match footage, some with large statistical databases, while others combine event data, tracking and specialist analysis to build a broader picture of performance. Driblab has built its reputation around football data, advanced analytics and scouting. Its current ecosystem includes Driblab XY for player and team analysis, optical tracking, physical data, Arrigo for combined event and tracking intelligence, Capture for turning uploaded match video into advanced data, Driblab Hub for scouting workflows, and consultancy services. Its platform covers more than 200 competitions and hundreds of thousands of players, with data available through its software, exports and API. StepOut approaches the problem from a different starting point. Its workflow begins with match footage. Clubs upload video, StepOut processes it through computer vision and proprietary machine learning and LLM models, and the resulting player, team and match information is made available through its TMS and wider football ecosystem. The platform extends into tactical analysis, player development, scouting, benchmarking and the Athlete App. The overlap between the two is significant, particularly around performance analysis, scouting and data-driven decision-making. The differences become clearer when looking at how each platform generates, structures and applies football intelligence.
